Is there school on Election Day?

Public school students in most of South Florida do not have classes on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 3). In Miami-Dade, public schools are closed for a Teacher Planning Day. In Broward, public schools are closed for an Employee Planning Day. In Palm Beach, public schools are closed for a Professional Development Day for staff, and district offices will be open. Friendly reminder, @MDCPS Family! All M-DCPS schools will be closed tomorrow, November 3, for a Teacher Planning Day and will reopen on Wednesday, November 4. https://t.co/lHHUgR7it8 Miami-Dade Schools (@MDCPS) November 2, 2026 In Monroe, schools are open, and students will have a regular school day. 📢 Reminder: Tuesday, November 3, 2026 is an Employee Planning Day. All schools will be closed for students as BCPS staff participate in professional development and planning.
